I thought feminism was about women being able to be whatever they want to be. If she WANTS to be sexually objectified, that is HER choice, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Nobodyneedsfeminism actually often makes great points, if you are willing to actually read their posts beyond the insults. They especially make good points in response to questions they are often asked. (One I can remember off the top of my head—they had a good answer to the question “When is feminism actually needed?”)

I already have had a few friends on this site deactivate their accounts due to being constantly harassed by feminists who did not like their views, and those were friends who were simply stating their opinions without trying to insult feminists. You are now reposting a screenshot addressing nobodyneedsfeminism without talking directly to them, so aren’t you doing something similar by not facing them directly?

Feminism is equality for men and women, and for women to freely express themselves without being judged and degraded. I never said it was wrong to want to be sexually objectified. I’m just saying it’s something I wouldn’t want to be worthy of. And yes, it is her choice if she wants to be a sex object or not.
I understand nobodyneedsfeminism makes good points, however, it doesn’t take away the fact that the person replies with insults in a rude and degrading manner. I was only here to defend someone where I saw fit. I understand being mad at them, I just wanted to clear up some of the things you said because nobodyneedsfeminism deserved recognition for things you were not giving them credit for. Again, I understand your need to defend your views, but that was (in my opinion) not a good way to go about it. Instead of giving a detailed, thought-out, logical explanation of why their views of feminism did not line up with yours, you resorted to insulting them, which makes you no better than what you were criticizing them for originally.

Feminist = no freedom of speech or free thinking. It there way or the highway I guess.

lol.  I would agree, but here’s the thing, literally everything can be construed as sexist to the point that it’s extremely stupid.  Movie about a woman doing everything for a guy: Sexist because women shouldn’t make men the center of their life.  Movie where a guy does everything for a girl: Sexist because the girl is just an object.  Sexually active girl: independent and strong person who does what she wants regardless of what society thinks.  Guy who sleeps with a lot of women: person who treats women like objects.  Double standards all day.  Should be a rule of the internet.  Rule 69, if it exists, and isn’t a woman, it’s sexist.  Even the number 69 itself is sexist, am I right?

As long as I get yelled at for liking big bang theory (which has happened several times), I’m going to stay away from feminists, even if I agree with them on several issues.  Yes, men are at fault for rape 100% and the victim never is ever.  Yes, there is still a definite pay gap.  Yes, I agree that school dress codes get dumb when it comes to what women can wear.  Yes, we still have got a long way to go before women are treated equally.  And yes, I am going to avoid people who are just looking for excuses to complain about being opressed and get angry, and then be incapable of being wrong because they can just take the moral high ground because of their gender.
